What is it?

Profhilo, also known as the “Time-Reversing Injectable”, which literally translates to “逆时针”, is the latest addition to the repertoire of injectables formulated to target lifting and hydration at the same time.

It is the first revolutionary bio-remodelling treatment that addresses skin laxity and signs of ageing through the bio-stimulation of collagen, elastin and fat stem cells that were lost through the years.

Formulated with unique patented NAHYCO^® Hybrid technology that complexes 100% pure hyaluronic acid of high-and-low molecular weights in one of the highest concentrations available in the current market, it is able to trigger strong collagen and elastin regeneration, as a result provides visible firming, tightening and lifting effect to the skin.

How long will the effect last?

The effect generally lasts between 9 to 12 months. 

What is the treatment interval?

For mild laxity or sagging, we recommend a protocol of 2 sessions in total, with each session done 1 month apart.

For moderate to severe laxity or sagging, we recommend a protocol of 3 sessions in total, with each session done 1 month apart.

Following strictly to the recommended protocol will ensure that you reap the maximal results of the treatment and its effect will effectively last throughout the rest of the year. 

Thereafter, maintenance session can be done once a year.

For those that desire more enhanced results, maintenance protocol can be repeated earlier at 6-9 months. 

How soon will I see the effect?

The effect of the treatment can be seen as early as 5-7 days. To achieve long-lasting results, we strongly encourage adhering to the recommended protocol. 

What to expect during treatment?

The injection involves 5-point injection per side of the face and feels like stinging ant-bites. We will apply a layer numbing cream 20 minutes before the procedure to ensure comfort throughout the procedure. Ice pack compresses will also be applied during the treatment to further minimize any discomfort. The procedure itself takes about 20 minutes.

Few pin-point needle marks can often be seen at the end of treatment. 

Is there any downtime?

Yes, there will be a short downtime for this procedure. Few 5-8mm sized raised wheals, similar to mosquito bites, will be formed over injection sites. These will resolve spontaneously after 1-2 days. 

How can I minimize the risk of bleeding or bruising?

Avoid consuming vitamin E supplement, omega-3 fish oil, NSAIDs painkillers or blood thinning medications for 3 days before the procedure, unless medically indicated by your doctor*.

*Please discuss with the doctor before you decide to stop regular medications on your own as they may be important for the underlying medical condition.

Are the results permanent?

Hyaluronic acid gels are being broken down naturally by our body over time and the effect of each treatment protocol usually lasts for 1 year. Reinjection is necessary to maintain optimal results. 

What is the post-treatment care?

• Continue skincare as per usual routine
• Avoid vigorous massage of treatment areas
• Avoid vigorous exercise (running, swimming, heavy weights training) for at least 1 to 2 days
• Avoid taking alcohol on the day of treatment
• Apply cold packs to areas of bruising, if any
• Apply makeup only on the next day
