What is it?

Beauty Boosters, our very own version of the treatment that is commonly known as skin boosters, or “水光针”, is designed primarily for the purpose of achieving intensive hydration and radiance effect in the deeper layers of the skin, a level which topical skin care products cannot penetrate down to. 

With our unique customized concoction of hyaluronic acid with essential skin nutrients such as antioxidants, minerals and vitamins, it not only restores deep hydration for good skin cell health, but also boosts skin elasticity and suppleness, achieving an overall smooth, dewy skin radiance and a healthier-looking complexion.

The procedure involves multiple microinjections into the intradermal layer just below the surface of the skin.

What is the difference between Beauty Boosters vs. Rejuran?

Beauty boosters are made up of hyaluronic acid (HA) which is made up of sugar molecules, whereas Rejuran is made up of polynucleotides (PN) derived from salmon DNA extract. 

Beauty boosters are primarily used for the purpose of achieving intensive skin hydration and brightening of skin tone. Rejuran however, is primarily used on damaged skin for its healing, regeneration and repair properties.

How long will the effect last?

Assuming the recommended protocol is being strictly adhered to, the effect can generally last for 1 year.

What is the treatment interval?

We recommend following strictly to the full protocol of 3 sessions in total, with each session done 1 month apart. This will ensure that you reap the maximal results of the treatment and its effect will effectively last throughout the rest of the year.

Thereafter, maintenance session can be done once every 6-9 monthly.

How soon will I see the effect?

The full effect of the treatment will be seen after 2 weeks. To achieve long-lasting results, we strongly encourage adhering to the recommended protocol.

What to expect during treatment?

The injection feels like multiple prickly ant-bites across the entire treatment area. We will apply a layer numbing cream 20 minutes before the procedure to ensure comfort throughout the procedure. The procedure itself takes about 20 minutes.

Multiple pin-point needle marks can often be seen at the end of treatment.

Is there any downtime?

Yes, there will be a short downtime for this procedure. Slight bumpiness of the skin surface can be felt for the first 1-2 days and they will resolve spontaneously.

Tiny bruising spots over few of the injection sites are commonly seen. They often last about 3-5 days on average, depending on severity of bruising as well as individual skin healing capacity. You can easily conceal the bruising spots with concealer makeup the next day.

How can I minimize the risk of bleeding or bruising?

Avoid consuming vitamin E supplement, omega-3 fish oil, NSAIDs painkillers or blood thinning medications for 3 days before the procedure, unless medically indicated by your doctor*.

*Please discuss with the doctor before you decide to stop regular medications on your own as they may be important for the underlying medical condition.

Are the results permanent?

Hyaluronic acid gels are being broken down naturally by our body over time and the effect of each treatment protocol usually lasts for 1 year. Reinjection is necessary to maintain optimal results.

What is the post-treatment care?

• You are encouraged to use the tip of your fingers to firmly massage any areas with tiny bumps with a thin layer of moisturizer
• Continue skincare as per usual routine
• Avoid vigorous exercise (running, swimming, heavy weights training) for at least 1 to 2 days
• Avoid taking alcohol on the day of treatment
• Apply cold packs to areas of bruising, if any
• Apply makeup only on the next day
